What GFX card do you run with? How long ago did you update the Geforce Experience software? I record Comedic Movie Reviews, Game Reviews, Top 10's and a couple Let's Plays :) I've recently shifted focus onto more scripted content similar in style to Easy Alllies, Gametrailers, JonTron etc...

Pop filters are great for getting rid of sibilance ('s' sounds, vocal hiss, lip smacks etc...) but in terms of echo it wouldn't do a thing. That's why a lot of people like Markiplier have foam on their walls or record in booths, it's because of the sound bouncing off walls and other objects...
