Hello all, welcome to another thread, and today's topic is FREE stuff, I mean come on who doesn't like free stuff, that can help you as a Youtuber, all of the software that I mention today will be Free for you to use Freedom Family! So let's jump in!

Free Editing Sofware

Windows Movie Maker - Sometimes we always miss the basic things, Windows movie maker is a good old favorite to return to, at some point, every big YouTuber has used WMM, it's all you need for basic video editing and putting together some fine work!

VirtualDub - My first experience with Virtual Dub was not for the editing it was more for my Roxio gaming capture and I used it to record footage off my Xbox 360 and PlayStation 1 & 2, but to my surprise many months later it actually counts as a very good video editing software, this software has so many capabilities it surprising it's free! Quick get it now while you can!

Wax - Wax is a high performance and flexible video editing program which is good for both home users and professionals. It can be used as a stand-alone application, or as a plug-in to other video editors.

Avidemux - Avidemux is a free video editor designed for simple cutting, filtering, and encoding tasks. It supports various file types, including AVI, DVD compatible MPEG files, MP4 and ASF, using a variety of codecs. Good if you plan on recording video in MP4!

Blender - Blender is the free open source 3D content creation which supports all major operating systems under the GNU General Public License. Blender has many advanced features, such as modifier-based modeling tools, powerful character animation tools, a node-based material, etc. and is one of the best video editors for both Windows and Mac.

VSDC Video Editor - It has tons of features and you can start for free. There is a wide range of filters, overlays, transition effects and color correction abilities. This platform is designed to serve users with smooth editing experience so that even beginners can enjoy creative media projects. Thanks to its wide format support that helps to handle all popular media files with ease.

Lightworks - Lightworks is a great free video editor featured with many video effects. It can edit up to 256 videos, audio, and still image clips. But the user interface is very technical so many people find it hard to use.

VideoPad Video Editor - This is an intuitive, feature rich and easy to use video editing platform. Beginners can enjoy easy editing with its drag and drop type timeline and loads of transitions, effects, and speed adjustment features make customization easier. And the end results can be easily posted on social media networks like Flickr, Facebook, and YouTube etc.

Free Audio Programs for audio perfection!

Audacity - Flexible and powerful, Audacity is the very best free audio editor available
Available for any desktop platform you care to mention, Audacity is my first choice free music editor. It has a huge following, and it's one that is entirely justified. It's a powerful tool that would put some paid-for product to shame, and although the interface might initially seem slightly intimidating, it's actually surprisingly approachable even for beginners.

Ocenaudio - Another powerful free audio editor, but easier to master than Audacity, like Audacity, Ocenaudio is available for multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, and Mac). While not bursting with features, it's a great tool for everyday audio editing.

DVDVideoSoft Free Audio Editor - A pared-back editor that makes trimming and editing as simple as possible. There are several programs named Free Audio Editor, which is understandable (developers want their software to rank well on Google, after all), but not particularly helpful for users. Here we're referring to the software created by the media experts at DVDVideoSoft rather than the tool by FAEMedia.

mp3DirectCut - Trim and normalize with this free audio editor that's great for podcasts. Despite its name, mp3DirectCut does more than just slicing up MP3s (although it does that very well). You can record directly into the program or work with existing audio files, and although there are no fancy options, all of the basics are covered. As well as simple track splitting, this compact audio editor also contains tools for normalizing audio, increasing volume, and fading.

Acoustica Basic Edition - A more advanced audio editor, offering to master with effect layering, Acoustica Basic Edition is a particularly great audio editor if you're looking for a tool for tweaking music recordings. Not only can you make your own recordings and open files from your PC, you can also import tracks straight from CDs, edit them, and export them in the format of your choice.

Free image editors for YouTube thumbnails

GIMP - An exceptional photo editor, GIMP is a worthy rival to premium software. The elder statesperson of free photo editing, GIMP (also known as the GNU Image Manipulation Program) is the most powerful photo editor around. It's packed with amazing tools that perfectly match those you'd find in premium software, and more are being added all the time.

Paint.NET - With layers, filters and plugins, Paint.NET will make your photos shine. Sometimes it pays not to be overloaded with bells and whistles. Paint.NET's simplicity is one of its key selling points; it's a fast, easy to operate free photo editor that's perfect for those little tasks that don't need the sheer power of GIMP.

Photo Pos Pro - Well designed and easy to use – a superb photo editor with a few limitations. Photo Pos Pro isn't as well known as Paint.net and GIMP, but it's another top-quality free photo editor that's packed with advanced image-enhancing tools. Its interface is smarter and more accessible than GIMP's array of menus and toolbars, with everything arranged in a logical and consistent way. If it's still too intimidating, there's also an optional 'novice' layout that resembles Fotor's filter-based approach. The choice is yours.

PhotoScape - Its interface is unusual, but PhotoScape boasts a great set of editing tools.
PhotoScape might look like a rather simple free photo editor, but take a look at its main menu and you'll find a wealth of features: raw conversion, photo splitting and merging, animated GIF creation, and even a rather odd (but useful) function with which you can print lined, graph or sheet music paper.
