I have to agree with his stance on this.
I've gotten 500 views since yesterday, that's 1/30 the time and still more views.
Think of a milestone as something that is difficult to get to for everybody. You might have trouble getting 300 views quickly (if you do, reevaluate your content production stratagem), but many others including myself and Phil do not.
Something more difficult would be something like 1000 subscribers. Anyone can get 100, but it takes a little something good to get 1000.
Or 10,000 views, 300 is E.A.S.Y. easy. 10,000, especially that on a single video or in a single day, takes a little something special.

To 'some people' really doesn't apply on YouTube. Alot of views is something that needs to be seen by everyone as alot of views.
It can be agreed that 10,000 or 100,000 is alot of views. But if you do the right SEO and produce for a relatively unsaturated content medium (i.e. not gaming), anyone can get 300 views in a matter of hours.
