I use Photoshop to edit thumbnails and most of the time to get good colours I just play around with the gradient tool

I just use the Overwatch Wiki or Google "Overwatch Bastion PNG"

Nice thumbnails indeed I want to improve my thumbnails too Sometimes i just make a "crappy" thumbnail because i ca't come up with a good idea for the thumbnail :/

Your thumbnails aren't that bad I'd say you need to pick a design and stick to it. Every successful YouTuber has their own that they don't divert from

Looks great! The white almost looks a little odd but definitely makes the images stand out.
